Week 1 of Interaction Design for Web is complete. In week 1 we began with an introduction to the unit and foundational elements of website design.
Monday I will be starting my next class, Interaction Design for Web. I am very interested in taking a refreshed look at website design and discovering how to approach it through a developed eye.
I have received my final grade for packaging design with a score of 90/100. I am slightly disappointed that I didn’t achieve a higher mark and hope once I have access to full feedback, can see where I could have improved.
Packaging Design was a challenging unit that involved many weekly tasks. These were aimed at developing a deeper understanding of the process and purpose of packaging design. When you spend the time studying a subject that plays a large part of our everyday lives, it makes you see things differently, especially when you see the ‘bad’ or ‘ugly’ examples.
Week 11 and 12 of packaging design are complete, which marks the end of this unit. The final submission was the creation of a Design Rationale document, which showed our development of the packaging design we created (as part of Project 2). It was a challenge to try and condense all of the research and work I had undertaken in the previous weeks, into just 20 pages. I will be interested to see my final grade and will post a full recap of the unit once I have it.
